Criating the “Cure” for Alpacaitis
Welcome to the newly “criated” site of Airborne Alpacas where we are working hard to “deliver a cure for Alpacaitis”! The ailment one often obtains after visiting an alpaca farm and decides they need alpacas of their own. We are located approximately 25 miles southeast of the 101st Airborne Division in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. Our farm name is our way of honoring the men and women who proudly serve everyday to protect our safety and freedom.
We got our start with lots of reading, finding out that you can never ask too many questions, and knowing there will always be more information to gain about alpacas. Our little piece of heaven began December 23, 2008 when we decided to take the “leap” and sign our first contract. We had supplies to buy, fencing to install, and much anticipation for the trailer to arrive with the first load of alpacas. It has only been a short time since all nine alpacas arrived. Many things have happened including, vet visits, show attendance, ribbons gained, and the anticipation of crias soon to be on the ground. There will be many things to come including a new herd sire, hopefully many more ribbons, and the opportunity for sharing information learned. So, stop by often, find out how we are growing, and learn what information we have to pass on. We would love to hear from you and invite you to call or stop by to see how we are growing.
Feel free to contact us if you have questions about obtaining your own alpacas or just want to chat. We can guarantee you that we will not have all of the answers, but we will do our best to point you in the right direction. Click here to send us a question. Have a great alpaca day! - Don and Cindi Webber
